Two floating slabs overlaid and perforated in the center, form the Caxingui house. The concept of a patio is present in this project, as well as the constant contemplation of the gardens. The walk reveals the horizontality of the proposal where there is always a large free space (intervals) between the filled ones (uses contained in the wooden boxes). The roof garden was treated as a fifth facade. An exercise of composition and choice of equipment, as well as skylights and the ofuro. In addition to urban belvedere, the green roof contributes to the thermal comfort of the house.

Flavio Castro had the opportunity to start designing and building early, with only 20 years old. Flavio defends that practical experience completes academic theory, and has always worked in these two areas, with experience in architectural firms inside and outside Brazil. After three years of Masters in Barcelona, he returned to Brazil and settled in São Paulo, founding FCstudo in 2009. The collaboration system that exists within the office allows a constant exchange of information among professionals who join the team depending on each project´s demand.
