I glanced at a book laying on my couch. The book was Around The World in Eighty Days. My lightbulb moment. I began to organize my inspiration and gathered toys and objects from my travels and have artistic fun interpreting the book.
The race driver with a checkered flag at the forefront begins the race. The motorcycle includes a clock with a compass. Transportation and continents are represented through toys.
The inspiration continues, I was creative using different approaches. I used cameras including a dslr, an actual toy camera (genuine colour-cropping), film and a Holga.
Bio Playtime? Why is playtime only for children? I look at forgotten toys and my mind goes to becoming adult robots. Losing imagination, creativity learning to be alone,problem solving and UNPLUGGED. I decided playtime is a form of zen meditation. Losing a robotic labelled and compartimalized world As adults we are robots forgetting problem solving. During this project things broke and getting ideas across were retooled. The above astronaut is communicating below via walkie-talkie.The boat has a peace sign and all superhero children get along. No racism or war.
