Visions & Dreams

"Visions & Dreams" is a series of works based on recent travels in Europe. Each image is composed of multiple photographs, or portions of photographs, that have been carefully edited and layered via computer. Although my work is based on photography, I do not consider myself a photographer. For me, the camera is simply a tool that enables me to record images for contemplation and further artistic development. I suppose I'm a bit like a forager hunting for bits and pieces of the physical world that "speak to me." Later, in my studio, I study my collection and thoughtfully weave select elements together to form composite images that have extended meaning for me.
