Chinese Piano Concerto "The Butterfly Lovers" & "Yellow River" By Catherine Wong

The Chinese Piano Concerto "The Butterfly Lovers" & "Yellow River" was the first large scale concert for Catherine Wong to perform in Hong Kong. We needed to promote the concert and to introduce her to HK people. We designed this teaser concert poster with the tagline in Chinese saying, "HK upcoming and International level young female pianist". We took elements in the music notes and created this custom-made typography for the tagline and the name of Catherine, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions. We wanted to create a contemporary and fashionable feeling than classical.
