Elam, Doll, Arroyo

The "Elam" series is on going project. The name and the series of sculptures are reflections on an ancient place a top of the Western Persian plateau where I spent my childhood. Made of wood, plaster,nails, copper, nails, and dye or acrylic. Approximate size: h.78 cm x w.38 cm x d.40 cm. "Doll" Is a shamanistic piece made with clay and various glazes. Size:h.37 cm X 12 cm diam. " Arroyo" comes from walking in dried river bed- an arroyo- in New Mexico when in the far distance I saw what appeared to be a large animal. A bear? Or a mountain lion? As I walked closer I saw a man. The man walked across the arroyo into the sage brush and on into the wilderness. Arriving at where the man was not a few minutes ago I saw that he had not left tracts. Made of wood, plaster and vinyl paint. Size: h.51 cm x w. 35.5 cmx d. 35.5 cm.
