140cm x 140cm pigment print cut Reynobond, Tyvek. Fishing village - Ireland. Fishermen; their sons and fathers – heads bent repairing their nets. Brightly coloured twine – a sign of our times – a network of fibres intertwined like DNA – the blood lines of forefathers binding generations together in a common enterprise or, like the roads we travel crossing each other's paths. It is rare these days for us to stay close to home - to work with our sons and fathers - we are bound to the place of our birth only by the blood lines of our ancestors.
