The concept for wearable hand-drawn ‘pictures’ was initially inspired by the children’s book, Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson in which Harold draws a world around himself. With a playful and whimsical approach and a distinct line-drawing style, our work is evolving over time. Design inspiration has come from our immediate environment with the details, shapes, forms and colours found there. Botanical and geometric drawings become brooches, bangles and earrings with much consideration given to construction and detail. Made from stainless steel and sterling silver, the pieces are powder-coated in bold colours and combine modern industrial processes with a hand-made approach.
