LET THE CHILDREN OF SYRIA GROW HOPE was inspired by working with refugee children on a creative project at Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan, close to the Syrian border. The symbol of the "tree of hope" which you will discover as central part of this animation was realized and photographed as real people performance of youth and children with an international group of artists. The "tree" stands for "growth" rather than talking about a "camp" we should consider these as "settlements" and treat them as such. The average lasting time of a refugee settlement is 13 years...
Bio Austrian artist LUKAS M. HÜLLER stages photographs like paintings and thereby creates visual stories and messages as a photographic artist and commissioned artist. Individual and detailed storyboards form the basis of these photographic works. The photographs have an often misleading, painterly style and captivate with high-resolution detail of gigapixel photography.
