Creation of new varieties

I am a fruit farmer and breeder. This model is a grape variety that I crossed and bred in 2010. I created this original object on my farm. This work was created using the technique of grape plucking, which is a farming technique. Two bunches of grapes that are still young on the farm are connected to form a ring and are allowed to mature. I took a photo of it in my studio. Masumi Shiohara was born in 1974 in Nagano, Japan. He worked at a micro-machining company as a development engineer. After leaving the company, he took over the management of the family orchard from his parents and is now running a farm. While growing fruit here he became interested in capturing them into works of photographic art, a skill which he picked up by himself.
