    This series of works visualizes “DNA bar codes”—short snippets of DNA sequences used by scientists to identify species, accessible in open source scientific databases. This work utilizes a custom color SVG font design, “DNA Strands”, to represent DNA sequences of extinct species. The visualized data design is housed within a case, below a magnifying lens, to inspire a sense of preciousness and rarity in the “specimen.” The first edition of this series represents extinct mammal species.
