    530 inhabitants in a little island community. As jobs in fishing and fish processing disappeared, people lost their livelihoods. An island community threatened by depopulation can now have the confidence to face a future on the island they love. Now Todd Saunders is reinventing Fedje together with the women and the Fedje locals; the distillery, hotel, and a park are all on the drawing board. “When we build a hotel on the island’s finest building plot, we need to highlight the landscape. It should be like an exclamation mark that brings out the best of its surroundings.”
