The beauty of decay

The thematic focus of my presented work is on transience. Socially, there is a departure from the theme of the transience of life. The media attention is often on fun, action and distraction. People are thus deprived of the view of the omnipresent passing. And when media and art do deal with the passing, it is usually associated with sadness or fear or violence. The passing is a universal constant. The confrontation with it, combined with the understanding that precisely in this lies beauty, is a progressive and modern approach. My flower paintings show metaphorically "The beauty of decay".
