BENEATH THE BRIDGES Introduction C 1 -space & interspace. C 2 –sculpture. C 3 –neighbourhood. Immaterial are only their names, not their function. The bridges of the A10 Tauern motorway con-nect the north of Europe with the south. Across and through the Alps. And yet they are bridges barely noticed, bridges of no symbolic value. Rarely perceived as a bridge from above – do-minant and obvious from beneath. Always loud, hectic, fast and dangerous above – mostly silent and placid beneath. In these three chapters, I will attempt to ex-tract the utmost from a simple subject. Through photos!
Bio Walter Oczlon born in Sankt Johann/Salzburg/Austria. He started his training as a photographer and graphic artist at the Höheren Graphischen Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt and in the master class for photography in Vienna. He has been an independent photographer since 1979.
