The background is treated as the protagonist, evokes mixed emotions—ambiguity, weirdness, grotesqueness, dreams, strangeness, and healing—through texture displacement. An element whose subjectivity has been forgotten by the media suddenly discovers his own subjectivity, which is always clearly visible in memory. These peculiar textures guide the narrative, proposing a dreamy or fantastical essence, prompting an exploration of higher dimensions.

Jinrong Kuang (b.1999) is an artist whose practice explores the entanglement of memory, perception, and emotion. Working across painting, 2.5D animation, and immersive virtual spaces, he transforms fragments of personal experience into symbolic narratives. His works blur the boundary between reality and imagination, inviting viewers to encounter the subconscious and re-examine their own emotional landscapes.
