This series is based on my experiences of living with a panic disorder. Vulnerability is very important to truly connect with other people. It’s what makes us human and life worth living. We are so easily ashamed for being vulnerable, but that only stands in the way of our happiness. I feel my life is more intense and beautiful because of my condition?.

I've always thought of nature as this big uncontrollable force, so it became a symbol for my panic disorder. This made a nice contrast with my vulnerable naked body. Literally and figuratively exposing myself.

Bio
My name is Anne (1993, South-Africa), I live and work in a secluded and very quiet part of the Netherlands called Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. In February 2016 I graduated from the Fontys College for the Arts in Tilburg. I went there thinking I would become a painter, but the attraction to photography became stronger every year. My final work was a photo series. Since my graduation I have had the opportunity to show my work during various group exhibitions and a solo exhibition.
In my photos I like to test the boundary between reality and fiction.
