Unmasked Poster Series

The assignment was to create a three-part poster series addressing the issue of climate change specifically in China. I took inspiration from their rich and colorful culture that has spanned three millennia, but also from their more recent culture of needing to wear masks due to a severe decline in air quality. As many of us are more aware of now, wearing a mask covers up more than our face, but also impedes our ability to communicate with others. This juxtaposition indicates that the culture that China takes pride in will covered up by changes in culture and society caused by climate change.
