Memory: To London

As a global citizen, the ease of travel has made a foreign country another place to live in, yet I found moving away an incredible journey. Architecture and painting form the two core principles of my aesthetic choices. A city’s culture is captured by the people and the architecture. But my London is not the London Eye, or the river Thames, but the dormitories that I lived in, the little table that I drew on. In this retrospective painting, I have chosen to depict places as I remember them and to share stories that are incredibly personal.
