Portrait (Latin: protrahere - to bring to light, to reveal, to show) an artistic image (painterly, sculptural, graphic, drawing) of a specific person or group of people, showing the external resemblance and sometimes character features of the portrayed.
The above definition of a portrait is given in a dictionary. I am convinced that a portrait is much more. A portrait is primarily an attempt to delve into the other person, into their mood, character, emotional state at the moment of taking the picture.
Bio I was born in Lodz, Poland. I lived a little here, a little there, now I settled in Warsaw. I am a photographer, poet, traveler and a university teacher. I graduated in Photography from Maria Curie Sklodowska University, Faculty of Fine Arts. I am a member of The Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF). Photography is my passion. I express myself through my pictures. I mean what makes me delighted, surprised as well as reflection and other emotions. It’s not a reality itself, but the way my mind sees the things, makes forms and shadows for them.
